Greetings!

Dear Memorial Middle School Families,

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! As Principal Foster, it is my honor—on behalf of our entire faculty and staff—to extend a warm welcome to both our new and returning families. We are thrilled to begin another exciting year of learning, growth, and achievement with your children, our Memorial Middle School Soldiers!

Celebrating Our Progress

I want to take a moment to share how proud I am of our dedicated team and incredible students. Thanks to their hard work and your partnership, we continue to move our school forward. Last year, we successfully maintained our "C" grade while increasing our total performance score to 51 points! Every step forward reflects the collective effort of our entire school community.

Positive Changes at Memorial

Beyond our academic test scores, we are seeing real, lasting transformation across our campus:

  • Positive Student Behavior: Thanks to our Restorative Justice practices, we’ve seen a major reduction in student altercations, fostering a safer and more respectful learning environment.

  • District-Leading Attendance: Our focus on attendance yielded huge results—we reduced chronic absenteeism (students missing 22+ days) by 8.5%, earning the #1 biggest improvement in the entire district!

  • State Recognition for Excellence: State evaluators praised Memorial Middle School’s instructional systems and student monitoring, reinforcing the high quality of education your child receives every day.

Our Goal:

Aiming for a "B" Building on this steady foundation, our ambitious goal for this school year is historic: we are striving to achieve a "B" grade for the first time in Memorial Middle School’s history!

We fully believe this goal is within reach, but we need you by our side. A strong partnership between home and school is the ultimate key to our students' success.

Thank you for entrusting us with your children. Let’s make the 2026–2027 school year our best one yet!

Go Soldiers!

Warmly,

Principal Foster
